Kips Bay Decorator Show House

Each year, a new Manhattan home and a new group of designers, are selected to transform a room for a good cause. This year’s 15,000 square-foot Upper East Side Kips Bay Show House was completely transformed in just a few weeks. Open to the public for one month, the proceeds are raised for the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club, based in New York.

We’re delighted to share the exciting project we worked on with Sasha Bikoff; an entirely bespoke stair runner stretching over three floors.

Drawing inspiration from the Memphis Group, a movement founded in Milan in the 80’s, we worked with Sasha’s inspiration to create a rug that would execute her colourful vision and complement the original Sotsass furniture sourced by the designer. Shifting in colour and pattern, the runner continuously transitions from one flight to the next and corresponds with the Farrow & Ball paint transitions on the ceilings above.
