Revered for her gallerist eye and offbeat accents, acclaimed New York-based interior designer Kelly Behun has collaborated with The Rug Company for her first rug collection. Beginning her career under Ian Schrager, Behun joined his in-house design studio where she trained under architect Anda Andrei and worked with renowned designers Andrée Putman and Philippe Starck. Whilst there, she was an integral member of the design team that created a number of their most iconic properties including the Delano in Miami, Mondrian in Los Angeles, and Royalton, Paramount, Morgans and Hudson hotels in New York City.
Since then, Behun has opened Kelly Behun Studio and her portfolio includes projects for high profile individuals in the worlds of technology, entertainment, business and politics.
