The Kips Bay Showhouse New York opened its doors on May 2nd for its 47th
annual fundraiser. Transforming the historic Georgian mansion, 22 designers
tackled 23 rooms with varying inspiration. Jeff Lincoln, Brian Gluckstein, Jim
Dove, Jennifer Cohler Mason, and Richard Rabel worked with TRC LAB to create
bespoke handtufted rugs to make their visions come to life.

Jim Dove

“I wanted to know what it would feel like to be inside a Fabergé egg.”

Complementing the jewel tones of Jennifer Cohler Mason’s space, Lola by David Rockwell ties her elegant sitting room together and adds an abstract note to her overall concept. In addition to her room on the fourth floor, she worked on the secret set of stairs leading to the fifth floor and enlisted our help to create a bespoke dragonfly-adorned stair runner.
