Choosing a rug for every space in your home can be a daunting task. Whether
you are struggling with size, shape or choosing the perfect colour, our in-house
studio suggests the perfect rug to weave through every room.

A statement piece will add personality and creativity to any living room. Choose
your design in the same way you would choose a piece of art and make it the
focal point of your home. Making a bold statement in the living room is the
perfect conversation starter when you are entertaining guests. As a general rule,
a seating area needs a rug to make it feel complete.

In a larger open space, rugs can
be used to define different areas
and create rooms within rooms.

The Dining Room
For a dining room, our design team suggest using a rug with a border or a
repeating pattern so you won’t lose the motif under your dining room table. A
large rug under your table will deaden sound, allowing your guests to converse
more easily and will also bring colour, pattern and texture to your space.

Ideally, your rug should be in
proportion to the table and larger,
so that there is sufficient space to
pull out a chair and sit down
without the back legs coming off
the rug.
When choosing a rug for your bedroom, think texture! Create a tranquil retreat by
using a soft, sink-into mohair rug, with a sumptuous deep pile or choose a handcarved
silk rug with a subtle metallic sheen for a sophisticated space.

For a bedroom, a rug can be placed underneath the bed, framing it but stopping short of the side tables; alternatively running all the way to the headboard end which allows for the rug underfoot when one gets out of bed.
Studies don’t need to be serious. From libraries to corner nooks, a study can
come in all shapes and sizes, but the purpose is all the same. Organic abstract
designs and solid colour rugs help to create a serene space for you to catch up
on your reading or to take meetings in a distraction-free environment.

Though some may not consider the staircase to be a room, it can often be the
centrepiece of a home. With our Custom and Bespoke service, you can adapt
one of our existing designs or let your imagination run wild. So whether you
choose a school of fish swimming upstream, a climbing leopard racing to the
top flight or a transitional pattern offering a visual feast from floor to floor, be
courageous and choose something totally unexpected.

The Children's Room
When it comes to designing a children’s space, the right rug can make all the difference. We understand the importance of creating a design that is not only beautiful but functional – providing a soft footing and sparking imaginative play. When it comes to material, we recommend the use of wool in children's rooms. A natural material that is hypo-allergenic, soft to-the-touch, long-lasting and easy to clean.

The Outdoor Space
Transform a dull outdoor dining area or poolside patio with a bright and
unexpected pop of colour. Using a larger rug in your alfresco area will make the
space feel bigger and is also a great way to hide any unsightly flooring.
Not all rugs are suitable for the outdoors, however, we do suggest our
Endurance collection which is built for exactly that purpose. Stain, fade and
mildew resistant, our Perennials collection are inspired by the pastel colours of
mid-century California and are the perfect addition to your outdoor oasis.
