"The collection was originally inspired by weaving and knitting patterns – how the repetition of a simple thread can build and develop into something quite intricate and detailed. Each design starts with a simple shape as its foundation, which is then manipulated through repetition and reflection to create a layering effect that adds intricacy and texture.
I liked the idea of playing with the contrast between simple, clean lines and bold, clashing colours – reminiscent of the style of Herbert Bayer. My aim for this collection was to create something very modern and dynamic, but which can very easily and effortlessly inject energy into a home." Jonathan Saunders

Deliveries to mainland UK addresses are free of charge and we endeavour to make them within 2 working days (Monday to Friday) for items in stock.
We deliver to most national and international destinations. Deliveries to all international addresses will take longer, but we try to send all orders by the quickest route possible. Delivery charges for outside the UK are calculated by volumetric weight, and are calculated at the checkout.
If you wish to place an online order for delivery to the USA, South America or The Caribbean, please visit our United States Online Store.

We want you to be delighted with your purchase, so if you are not completely happy, you may return it to us within 21 days of receipt for a full refund or exchange - provided that the item is returned complete and in original condition. The Rug Company will cover the cost of shipping returns within the UK, other than items purchased from The Archive Sale. Charges will be incurred for shipping outside of the UK.
To return an item, please contact us first by telephone or email. We will then arrange for UPS to collect the item from you. Returns can be collected from your home, work or alternative address.
It is recommended that you keep the original packaging in order to make returning items easier. If you no longer have the original packaging we can suggest alternatives or send you new packaging free of charge.
We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Visa Debit and Maestro. All payments are made securely online and your credit card details will not be saved.

Scottish-born fashion designer, Jonathan Saunders, has been much-lauded for his use of graphic prints and vibrant colour combinations. Renowned for using traditional silk screening techniques, so each garment has its own print rather than one print being used throughout an entire collection, Saunders has brought his talent and unmistakable style to rugs. Inspired by architecture and interiors, Jonathan’s designs showcase his masterful understanding of pattern and his astute flair for clashing colours.
