To celebrate our 20th Anniversary, we hosted an intimate dinner with international design magazine Cabana at Chess Club, a private member’s club in Mayfair.
Amongst the design world’s finest, Tom Dixon, Mary McCartney, Suzy Hoodless, Allegra Hicks, Martina Mondadori
and The Rug Company co-founders Christopher and Suzanne Sharp gathered to pay tribute to two decades of
our brand and to toast the launch of TRC20: our anniversary capsule collection featuring designs from Paul Smith,
Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Suzanne Sharp and Kelly Wearstler.
The dining room was decked out in true Cabana maximalist style; a beautiful combination of colour and design
with each of the five TRC20 collection rugs replicated in various guises as part of the aesthetic; ‘Bonavita’ took
centre stage as the tablecloth, ‘Festival’ as the napkins, ‘Highland’ and ‘Channels Copper’ as the reverse of the
menus and personalised commemorative plates inspired by ‘Chiaroscuro’ as place settings, illustrated by Luke
Edward Hall.
Editor and Founder of Cabana, Martina Mondadori welcomed guests and toasted TRC20, outlining the founding
principles which unite both Cabana and The Rug Company: craftsmanship, creativity and collaboration.
