Heralded as the bright young designers of the future, design duo Committee are loved for their quirky and thought provoking designs.
Their work is collected worldwide and has become a permanent fixture at London Design Museum’s collection. The duo, made up from Clare Page and Harry Richardson, use everyday objects as their inspiration, transforming cast-offs and simple scenes into beautiful, desirable objects. Their collection for The Rug Company is no exception; using discarded objects found near to the designers’ studio, the Fly Tip rug appears, at first glance, like a vibrant jumble of random objects. In actual fact, like so much of Committee’s work, the rug designs are painstakingly considered and show us that beauty can be found where you least expect it.
