Renowned for unique, handmade rugs and collaborating with great designers, the marriage of unconformity and Union Jack waving Englishness continues to enrapture legions of fans. Together The Rug Company and Westwood have created brilliant oversize magnolia blooms and the now infamous VW Flag in rich wool Aubusson. Westwood's tattered and tarnished Union Jack flag is unconventional “patriotism” at its best.
Westwood once said of her designs, "My aim is to make the poor look rich and the rich look poor." According to such logic, the Vivienne Westwood rugs, cushions and wallhangings look fabulously poor in every sense of the word.
Our collection of cushions is entirely handmade, using traditional tapestry and needlepoint techniques, and with a generous goose down filler. Each piece is enhanced by the unique style of our exclusive designers, and is distinctive, precious and collectable.
Standard deliveries to mainland UK addresses are free of charge and normally made within 2 working days – Monday to Friday. Deliveries to all international addresses (except the USA, South America and the Caribbean) will take longer, but we endeavour to send all orders by the quickest route. For orders delivered outside the UK, we will confirm the anticipated delivery date to you.
Delivery charges for outside the UK are calculated by volumetric weight, and are shown at the time of order.
If you are not entirely delighted with the products that you have chosen you may return them to us within 14 days of receipt. We only ask that you contact us to arrange shipping and ensure the goods are returned as new in the original packaging for a full refund or exchange. The Rug Company will cover the cost of shipping within the UK, but charges may be incurred for shipping outside of the UK. Items can be returned outside this 14 day period if they are found to be faulty but please take extra care to read our care and cleaning page or any specific care instructions provided with your purchase. We cannot accept an item returned as faulty if the appropriate product care instructions have not been followed and the damage caused to the product is clearly due to wear and tear or misuse. We may require evidence - e.g. photographs of the rug to validate that a product is faulty.
If you wish to return an item for any reason, you must contact us first on +44 (0)20 7243 7342 to obtain a returns authorisation. Once authorised, we will then arrange for a carrier to collect the item(s) from you. If your return is not covered by the terms above, then we may require payment to cover the cost of shipping.
