Sam Taylor-Wood is an international leading artist, known predominantly for her ground-breaking photography and film-making.
Her renowned works include the sleeping David Beckham of 2002 and Crying Men series of 2004, featuring Sean Penn, Clint Eastwood, Jude Law, Daniel Craig, Paul Newman, and 23 other actors. More recently, she directed the film ‘Nowhere Boy’, a biopic about the younger years of John Lennon. She was awarded an OBE in 2011.
As a patron of Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres, it was fitting that The Rug Company should work with Sam Taylor-Wood on a limited edition cushion to raise money for the charity. Not only is the cushion an exquisite translation of Sam’s original photograph, but its message is inspiring and relevant to the cause.
