  • About This Design

Equally at home with contemporary minimalism or mid-century modern chic, Crossing Lines features a contrasting motif of thin lines that overlap in an uneven grid pattern. Available to order only.

  • Designer Story

Rodolfo Dordoni, the Milan based architect and product designer, joined The Rug Company’s Designer Collection in June 2003.

His simple yet intuitive designs, DNA and Crossing Lines bore the mark of design classics, easy to incorporate in existing decorative schemes. In 2006, he added to the collection with Leaf, which represented a departure from Dordoni’s recognisable linear style, and reflects a far more decorative approach. Rather than expressing his architectural background with an emphasis on proportion and functionality, his Leaf design refers to Dordoni’s other, more fluid mind-set with its painterly leaf motif, emphasized by its beautiful all-silk finish.
