House tour: Jessica Alba

Actress, mother and author Jessica Alba throws open the doors of her Beverley Hills home, revealing a passion for eco-friendly interiors and antique finds from local flea markets.

Alba uses Jaime Hayon’s Silhouette rug in the main living room, its soft golden palette complementing the similar colours in the room.

The whimsical rug highlights Alba’s modern eclectic style and¬†adventurous nature when it comes to mixing textures. The cut velvets, cotton canvases and mirrored surfaces all work in harmony with the rug’s mixed wool and silk pile.

The khaki tones of Kelly Wearstler’s Tracery rug work with the accents of wood in the library, creating a feel of laid back glamour.

“I think streamlining the design throughout the house is nice. The kids’ rooms are a departure, but they’re fun!”, says Alba who uses the Harlequin Multi by Jonathan Adler for the perfect finishing touch in the children’s nursery.
