New kid on the block

Situated on the southeast corner of Third Avenue and 59th Street, painted in our signature teal, our Uptown showroom in New York is now open.

Just half a block from the D&D Building, The Rug Company CEO Christopher Sharp explains, ”We’ve sat down and thought ‘what do our interior designers need?’ so we’ve come to the heart of this exciting Design District and tailored the whole set up for them.”

The showroom features a special third floor creative workspace; this light-filled top floor ‘design studio’ area is the perfect place to browse our extensive library and discuss design ideas with experienced members of our team. We’re on hand to talk you through the numerous colour and yarn options and draw up entirely bespoke designs.

Our handmade rugs are showcased over two floors, where you can get acquainted with our collections including designs by luminaries such as Diane von Furstenberg, Matthew Williamson and Alexander McQueen.

Feeling more like a home than a store, the Uptown showroom has a townhouse vibe – a quiet, private space where you can come in, escape the bustle and get inspired!
