Tracery chic in Paris

We loved reading about the Paris apartment of Michel & Sally Perrin in a recent issue of Harper’s Bazaar, featuring the ‘Tracery’ rug by Kelly Wearstler.

Michel Perrin hails from a long line of artisans; his great-grandfather founded their leather-glove-making business in 1893.

Sally Perrin worked closely with decorator Chahan Minassian on the interior scheme of the apartment, wanting something that was “modern but also harked back to an earlier European period of gilt and mirrors”.

The ‘Tracery’ rug was custom-made for the living room of the glamorous, 19th-century apartment.

The silk yarns of the rug’s marbling design highlight the metallic elements of the scheme, resulting in a cool, soothing interior.
