Three years in the making, The Rug Company can finally unveil the exquisite new collection by Alexander McQueen. The finest wools, cashmere and silk yarns have been used to produce a couture-level, super luxurious collection. Comprising four recognizable McQueen themes (Skulls, Hummingbirds, Feathers and Military Brocade), the collection uses the finest knotting techniques and very best materials to ensure almost photographic reproductions of his designs.

Inspired by brocade on military uniforms and incorporated with wreaths, ferns and a serpent, the ‘Military Brocade’ is a 200-knot wool and raised silk rug. The complexity and fine detail can only be achieved by hand-carving the finest silk yarn.
The classic ‘Skull’ motif has been translated into a tonal wool and silk rug. The skull pattern also appears on two handwoven tapestry cushions: one in black and white and the other in gold metallic thread on white.
The ‘Feathers’ rug is based on an iconic McQueen pattern, reflecting Alexander McQueen’s love of patterns found in nature. The design was developed into subtle grey tones using the finest cashmere yarns.
The ‘Hummingbird’ cushion (wool, silk and metallic thread in Aubusson style) depicts delicate plumes of smoke winding throughout birds in flight.
